Error Code Structure & Scalability
Support for 100,000+ codes per product with zero conflicts.
Overview: The error code system uses a hierarchical structure to support 900,000 total codes across 9 products, with 100,000 codes available per product.
Hierarchical Structure
Error codes are organized in four levels for maximum organization and scalability:
Product Base (100,000 codes)
├── Feature Area (10,000 codes each - 10 features max)
│ └── Sub-Category (1,000 codes each - 10 categories max)
│ └── Sequential Code (00-99 per category)
Product Allocation (Level 1)
Each product gets 100,000 error codes in dedicated 100,000-code blocks:
| Product | Range | Total Codes |
|---|---|---|
| FlowStudio | 100000-199999 |
100,000 |
| AppStudio | 200000-299999 |
100,000 |
| AtlasForms | 300000-399999 |
100,000 |
| Octopus | 400000-499999 |
100,000 |
| Passport | 500000-599999 |
100,000 |
| WorkDesk | 600000-699999 |

100,000 |
| Custom/Integration | 900000-999999 |
100,000 |
Total Available: 900,000 error codes
Feature Area Organization (Level 2)
The second digit allocates 10,000-code blocks for major feature areas:
FlowStudio Example (100000-199999):
0 → Execution (100000-109999) - 10,000 codes
1 → Nodes (110000-119999) - 10,000 codes
2 → Canvas (120000-129999) - 10,000 codes
3 → DataBinding (130000-139999) - 10,000 codes
4 → Security (140000-149999) - 10,000 codes
5 → Store/State (150000-159999) - 10,000 codes
6 → Integration (160000-169999) - 10,000 codes
7 → Observability (170000-179999) - 10,000 codes
8 → Configuration (180000-189999) - 10,000 codes
9 → Reserved (190000-199999) - 10,000 codes
Sub-Category Organization (Level 3)
The third digit allocates 1,000-code blocks by error type within each feature:
