What is Elastic Search in BizFirst? Elastic Search is the full-text search and analytics engine for BizFirst. Workflows index documents to enable fast search across workflows, agents, datasets, and application data. The platform provides schema management, multi-tenant index isolation, automatic sharding, aggregation pipelines, and monitoring. Developers interact through IElasticProvider.IndexAsync() and IElasticProvider.SearchAsync() interfaces.

Getting Started

Quick Start (10 min)

Index your first document and perform a search query.

Indices & Shards

Index architecture, sharding strategy, replica configuration, node distribution.

Field Mappings & Types

Text, keyword, numeric, date fields. Analyzers, tokenizers, custom mapping.

Search & Query

Query DSL

Match, term, range, bool queries. Query composition, nested queries, highlighting.

Full-Text Search

Text analysis, stemming, stop words, fuzzy matching, search ranking.

Filters & Aggregations

Bucket aggregations, metric aggregations, date histograms, nested aggregations.

Operations & Optimization

Indexing Strategy

Multi-tenant indexing, index rollover, time-series indices, partition strategy.

Performance Tuning

Shard sizing, segment merging, query optimization, caching strategies.

Index Lifecycle Management

ILM policies, hot/warm/cold tiers, rollover, retention, data tiering.

Backup, Monitoring & Clustering

Backup & Restore

Snapshot API, snapshot repositories, incremental backups, recovery procedures.

Clustering & Replication

Master nodes, data nodes, ingest nodes, cross-cluster replication.

Monitoring & Diagnostics

Cluster health, node stats, index metrics, alerting, slow query logging.

Key Features

Lightning Fast

Sub-100ms search queries on billion-document scales. Optimized for speed.

Horizontal Scalability

Automatic sharding and replication. Add nodes to scale without downtime.

Multi-Tenant

Index-per-tenant or field-based isolation. Complete data separation and security.

Production Ready

Clustering, replication, backup, monitoring, ILM policies, failover.
