Rewards Model
MarketHub rewards publishers for real marketplace impact. Points accumulate from installs, reviews, certifications, and community activity — driving tier progression from Bronze through Platinum.
Points at a Glance
| Action | Points Awarded | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Package install (per tenant) | +1 pt | One point per unique tenant install, not per re-install |
| 5-star review received | +10 pts | Only 5-star reviews; lower ratings do not award points |
| Certified certification earned | +100 pts | One-time award per package that earns Certified |
| Community activity (reply accepted) | +5 pts | When a Q&A reply is marked as the accepted answer |
| Admin award | Varies | Manual award by admin — recorded as "Admin Award" |
Tier Progression
Points accumulate into tier levels. Once a tier is reached, the publisher stays at that tier permanently — there is no demotion, even as reputation decay reduces the point total slightly over time.
| Tier | Points Threshold | Badge Color | Key Benefits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | 0 – 999 | Bronze | Standard marketplace listing, community forum access |
| Silver | 1,000 – 4,999 | Silver | Priority support queue, Silver badge on profile |
| Gold | 5,000 – 19,999 | Gold | Featured placement eligibility, Gold badge on profile and packages |
| Platinum | 20,000+ | Platinum | Priority search ranking boost, dedicated account support, Platinum badge |
Reputation Decay
To keep the leaderboard reflective of current marketplace health (not just historical volume), installs and reviews older than two years contribute at 50% weight to the total point calculation. This means publishers need to keep publishing and engaging to maintain their position — but their tier is protected from decay.
If a publisher's weighted total drops below a tier threshold due to decay, they retain their tier badge. Decay only affects their position in the leaderboard rankings and their actual point total display.
Achievement Badges
Badges are permanent milestone markers, separate from the tier system. They appear on the publisher profile and on package cards where relevant.
| Badge | How Earned | Permanent? |
|---|---|---|
| First Publish | Publish your first package to the marketplace | Yes |
| 100 Installs | Cumulative 100 installs across all packages | Yes |
| 1,000 Installs | Cumulative 1,000 installs across all packages | Yes |
| Top 10 Leaderboard | Appear in the top 10 of the publisher leaderboard | Yes |
| Community Helper | Have 10 Q&A replies marked as accepted answers | Yes |
| Certified Publisher | At least one package achieves Certified status | Yes |
Admin Rewards
Administrators can manually award points and badges to publishers for exceptional contributions that fall outside the automated point system — such as exceptional bug reports, conference presentations, or significant community leadership.
All admin awards appear in the publisher's reputation history with the label "Admin Award" and include the admin's reason text. Awards above 500 points require dual-admin approval before being credited.
