The Discovery Funnel

The discovery funnel tracks how potential users move from discovering the publisher's presence to installing their packages. Three stages are measured:

Funnel StageMetricWhat It Measures
Profile viewsCount of publisher profile page viewsTop-of-funnel discovery — how many users are finding and looking at the publisher's profile
Package detail viewsCount of package detail page views across all publisher packagesMid-funnel engagement — users who went from the profile to investigating a specific package
InstallsNew installs in the periodBottom-of-funnel conversion — users who viewed a package and decided to install it

Conversion Rates

Two conversion rates are calculated from the funnel:

Profile → Package View Rate

What percentage of profile visitors navigate to a package detail page. A low rate suggests the profile is not effectively showcasing packages — consider improving the profile description, adding more package screenshots, or featuring your top packages prominently.

Package View → Install Rate

What percentage of package detail page visitors install the package. A low rate suggests the package detail page is not converting browsers into installers — common causes: insufficient documentation, no screenshots, poor or few reviews, or a confusing install process description.

Reputation Trajectory

The Publisher Insights page includes a reputation trajectory chart showing the publisher's lifetime points and weighted score over time. Key inflection points are annotated:

Revenue Tracking (Paid Packages)

For publishers with paid packages — packages that charge tenants a subscription or per-use fee — the Publisher Insights page includes a revenue section showing:

MetricDescription
Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)Total active subscription revenue across all paid packages
New MRRRevenue added in the period from new subscriptions
Churned MRRRevenue lost in the period from subscription cancellations
Revenue by packageBreakdown of MRR contribution per package
Revenue data is available only to the publisher and marketplace admins

Revenue figures are private — never exposed to other publishers or marketplace users. Only the publisher who owns the packages and admins with financial reporting access can see revenue analytics.
